On 5 May 2026, within the framework of the Yerevan Dialogue, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Lasha Darsalia participated in a panel discussion entitled “South Caucasus at a Turning Point: Prospects for Peace and Cooperation.”
In his remarks, Mr. Darsalia focused on the ongoing political and economic processes in the South Caucasus region. In the Deputy Minister’s assessment, the South Caucasus is currently evolving into a space of peace and cooperation. This creates significant opportunities for sustainable development and economic growth and positions the region as an attractive hub for trade, investment and connectivity. In this context, he underscored Georgia’s important role and efforts in strengthening regional stability, deepening economic integration and enhancing cooperation.
