On June 30th and July 1st, the Minister of Finance of Georgia, Mr Lasha Khutsishvili, visited Dilijan, Armenia. This visit encompassed two days of working meetings between the peers, where comprehensive deliberations took place concerning the present condition and future prospects within the financial and fiscal sectors of Georgia and Armenia.
The Georgian delegation consisted of the Minister of Finance, Mr Lasha Khutsishvili, Mr Archil Mestvirishvili, the Vice President of the National Bank, Mr Levan Kakava, the Director General of the Revenue Service and their teams. The meeting was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia in Armenia Dr. George Sharvashidze.
On the receiving side, Minister of Finance Mr Vahe Hovhannisyan, Central Bank Governor Mr Martin Galstyan, and Head of the National Revenue Committee Mr Rustam Badasyan led the discussions.
The meetings were conducted within an atmosphere characterized by utmost cordiality, constructive engagement, and a strong focus on business matters. The fruitful discussions culminated in the signing of a memorandum of understanding on technical cooperation between the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, the Ministry of Finance of Armenia, and the National Revenue Committee of Armenia.
