Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, within the framework of the 8th Summit of the European Political Union, participated in a roundtable discussion on the topic of “Enhancing Connectivity and Economic Security”.
In his speech, the Head of Government emphasized Georgia’s special role in ensuring connectivity and spoke about the major infrastructure projects that the Georgian government is implementing to support this function, including the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, high-speed highways, and the Anaklia deep-sea port.
Irakli Kobakhidze also emphasized the importance of diversifying transport and energy routes and, in this context, spoke about the strategic significance of the Southern Gas Corridor and the Black Sea Submarine Cable projects.
The Head of the Georgian Government once again confirmed his readiness to continue close cooperation with partners and noted that strong connectivity is one of the most important prerequisites for long-term stability.
